Dental Bridges

Dental Bridges:

A dental bridge replaces single or multiple missing teeth. It bridges the gap created by missing teeth by anchoring onto adjacent teeth with a “fake tooth” in the middle.  Dental Bridges are made of gold, porcelain fused to metal, and porcelain fused to Zirconia.

Bridges come in many forms:

  1. Tooth Supported Bridge
  2. Implant Supported Bridge
  3. Cantilever Bridge
  4. Maryland Bridge

Advantages of having Bridge Treatment:

  1. When an implant is not an option
  2. Prevent Tooth Movement
  3. Maintain the Shape of your face
  4. Improve Speech
  5. Ability To Chew Properly
  6. Rejuvenate your smile

Process Of Getting A Bridge:

  1. Study Models are obtained
  2. Preparation Appointment: teeth are prepared for a bridge based on study model analysis.
  3. Imprint/Impression of the area is made
  4. Impression is sent to the Lab for bridge fabrication process.
  5. In the mean time you will have a temporary bridge.
  6. When your permanent bridge is ready, the temporary bridge is removed. Your permanent bridge is checked for fit, bite, and esthetics and permanently cemented into place.

With good oral hygiene and regular checkups, a bridge can last beyond 15 years.
